How to comment on the other students oral presentations
Each presentation and discussion of a topic is estimated to take around 10 minutes and two topics takes 20 minutes. Of the 10 minutes at the most 6 minutes can be assigned to telling the story and discussing it with the other students. Then you have two minutes for your final arguments and two minutes to receive feedback on the quality of the form and style of the presentation.
After some time discussions may turn out to become informal and spontaneous or adjusted to the needs of the students, but initially we will follow a schedule to make sure that each student gets a constructive response to her presentations:
- Presentation of the background-story and problem with questions about possible solutions, 3 minutes
- Discussions with other students about solutions, 3 minutes
- The presenters argument for a specific solution, 2 minutes
- The students and teachers feedback on the quality of the form and style of the presentation, 2 minutes
In order to secure that it is the presenters ideas who stay in focus in the discussion it is important that the other students present specific arguments for their solutions to problems and that they give constructive and specific comments on how the presentation can be improved.
After the deadline of all oral åresentations y0u must hand in a written report concerning improvement of two other students presentations and questions
Each student is also obliged to hand in at least two written evaluation of two other students presentations and associated question. Since each student is making two presentations this means that you make four such reports. You can find a template for this HERE. This can be especially attractive for those students who wanted to chose a topic but found out that somebody else have already signed up for it. You sign up for commenting on somebody by writing a response to their selection of a topic in iLearn2.dsv.su.se. The evaluation should preferably be done directly after the written presentation but in order to secure that the respondent has a chance to improve the final report there is a deadline for this at the 15th of December. If you by any chance find that all selected topics already have received comments from two other students by the the 7 of December, then you may be the third one who comments on this student.
